Nest
A sample apartment for Kavisha Group's The Portrait, designed as a warm, relaxed home with soft forms, muted green accents, oak and sculptural lighting.
Soft Green Palette
The palette is soft and restrained: warm whites, muted greens and light-toned oak, set against textured, plaster-like walls in a quiet grey-beige. Green runs through the interiors in measured doses, from veined stone inserts beside the bedroom to a large paneled backdrop in the living room, with cushions, a green floor lamp and glass-tiled nesting tables repeating the note at a smaller scale. Oak paneling, ceilings and joinery add warmth and grain.
Rounded, Generous Forms
Softness is built into the forms. Sofas and armchairs are rounded and generous, a curved daybed sits in a corner, and a two-seat swing hung from slender cables adds a playful pause. In the dining area, arched table legs, circular chair backs and a soft bench carry the same language, while small brass details add a gentle shine against the muted tones.
Lighting As Sculpture
Lighting is treated as sculpture. A coiled chain of black and white beads floats across the living room ceiling, and a grid of wall lights forms a quiet artwork in the dining area. In the bedroom, a plastered arch frames a fluted headboard, while in the baby room a flowing wall relief, soft pink panelling and a curvilinear rug create a gentle, imaginative setting.
Open, Flowing Rooms
Concealed doors and simple lines help the rooms flow into one another, keeping the apartment open and uncluttered. Each element is given enough space to stand on its own, resulting in a home that feels quietly welcoming.
